with that proposal i would like to know one thing. i will be calling dean or mark so will hopefully have an answer soon. at state round qualifying is usally 15mins and 1 session only. this isnt really adequate for a national championship so was wondering if this would change when the national guys were there?

MrBoost I cant speak for all organisers but usually if there is a signifacant gain to grid numbers they will try and help out...The MGCC in Vic (run sandown state round and historics) gave all categories the option of 2x Qual + 3x Races or 1x Qual + 4x Races at the state round this year and only Formula Ford and Sports Cars took the 2x Qual option...or possibly you could get 1x30 Min...also usually in vic they are 20 min sessions, not sure on other states. None the less let us know your outcome

i spoke to the boys and they said if this option is the one we all go for they would have to speak to the organisers to try to get something to happen if thats what everyone wants. so its a wait and see.

i think this is the best option for fields but not so much for the categories status??

option 1 would be great with national rounds
being involved in state rounds. Then we could
see some huge fields.

i think putting the sports sedans with the muscle car masters at eastern creek would be fantastic. the meeting gets bigger and bigger every year and its getting more crowd support than what the v8s were getting there...would love to see this happen...

Be patient and allow Dean Randle to post a reply regarding 2009.
He is close to making an announcement but needs to see all the boxes ticked first.
You will be pleased with what has been accepted by the majority of entrant teams.

What the series needs in particular is for the state guys to race at their home state event in particular. When I was a young green fella i could not wait for the big show to come to town to see if I could blow away a few of them. I did once and i was hooked so I recommend it to you.

hi
if the state guys ran with the national guys, can the 4wd cars get a start? i'm also told the national guys have a different rev limit? do we have to comply with this at the same meeting.

dave

The current sporting regs are for space frame cars only so that exclude 4WD.
That is what the guys collectively wanted. The assn and rule committee never wanted 4wd and requested CAMS to ban 4wd but they never did so we deal with it through the sporting regs in the Kerrick series.

Yes, the rpm limit is also in the sporting regs so has to be complied with. Everyone has to comply so no disadvantage to any individual.
