Love those cars of Moffat, Edmonson and the BMW of Grice.

Yeah those old ads are always great to look at (some cars were so cheap!!).
The classifieds in Auto Action & Motorsport News are no where near as interesting as they used to be. Its interesting to see some of cars that never saw the track for what ever reason and others that have been in hiding in sheds for years.

The Porsche 935 looks very interesting, wonder if it is the original one that Rusty French raced back in the early 1980s? If that is the case what is the one that he now races in Historics? The Jaguar was going dirt cheap too!!

Old cutout from a magazine I had of Bryan Thompson's Chev Monza (with Brad Jones at the wheel) leading Kevin Bartlett in the Pantera

Check out the lean on Bartlett's head!!

Carling's early RX7 looked pretty good, what ever happened to it? I know Bill Attard still has his one in the shed.

Carling's early RX-7 was in Darwin and has been bought back to Victoria in the last year.. I believe it may be at Sandown Historics next month...??

I presume the RX-7 will be a static display then?

Yeah, he was hoping to have it running, but time has got away. I believe it may be up for sale but not 100% on that?

Did anyone see the feature in Auto Action this week on the Corvair of Tom Nailard/Frank Gardener. Its was a really good piece, esp the part about what class Frank was going to drive in when he came back and the ensuring battle of words between him and Moffat. :D :D
