SR is a nice engine accompanied by the Neo head but it ain't a direct swap over, it would still be a $3000-4000 excesive I would imagine.

4g63 is a good tuff little turbo engine with plenty of aftermarket support but they ain't light either.

So many options, it's doing my head in trying to decide what way I will go.

It bolts straight on to the sr block. You just need an oil feed and the p11 pump

What other issues did you have ?

The 4g63 is also a good race proven platform

I was told you need a few things like the following kit that Mazworks offer @ $2200 usd

- Mazworx VVL RWD intake manifold
- Mazworx fuel rail
- Mazworx modified oil pickup tube
- Mazworx VVL RWD relocation blocks and lines
- Mazworx VVL RWD water neck and hose
- Mazworx COP (coil on plug) conversion kit

Do you know if you can bolt-on for red or black top turbo blocks ?

I have a P11 complete head here but was slightly turned off the idea by all the extras required from what info I found.

You can buy all those parts if you like,
or you can use the stock intake modified with your own plenum
you dont need the oil relocater as its not a road car and thus its easy to move the firewall slightly
You dont have to do the coil on plug conversion but its a great idea this is why the p12 is better as I suggested.
Yes it bolts on top of the de block I would go for the s13 block if I was you, luckily for you its cheaper as well.

I have built two of these so far, this is the latest with a p12 rocker cover dont be confused they interchange its a p11 under there

Thanks for the info, its a great help!

If I purchase a S13 redtop NA engine complete what else do I need to do basically to bolt my P11 head on ?

I read somewhere the NA Vs Turbo blocks where different in a few area's and one being the oil squirters ?

Have you built any for turbo application ?

Yes the first one I built was p12 turbo
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CDwkTZ6ATuk

The turbo was to small it was making 500 at the wheels. Not massive amounts but it was on boost from 4000 and we limited it to 9000 it was still climbing

I always used turbo blocks, make sure you use the 8cw crank and not the 4 cw crankshaft counter weight

The vvl blocks are stronger and you can use them not sure about the gearbox bolting up to a fwd engine. But the mounts don't matter because your going to engine plate it anyway

Thats good power considering how broad it would be for a turbo 4.

So you are saying If I already have a P11 complete head. Purchase a redtop SR20det long motor, modify the oem inlet manifold and make a custom larger plenum to suit, P11 oil pump and oil feed.

What turbocharger where you running for 500rwhp ? E85 or pump ? do you think a GT3076R .64 would be OK ?

Any idea on what budget is required to build a decent complete long motor if I supplied the VE head ?

I am still trying to decide what engine to run. SR/4G63/13BT.

Where are you based ?

Thanks again !

That turbo will be ok as a start. I think the exhaust housing may choke it in the end.
You have the runners for the p11 don't you. Thos are the ones you need

Budget is so dependent on how much you can do your self, what's your skill lvl ?
Yes get a red top bottom end and go with that. You will need rods and pistons. The crank will be fine, what gearbox are you hoping to use

I'm on the Gold Coast

Do you have a workshop on the Gold Coast or work from home ?

I'm looking for a engine builder and also based on the Gold Coast.

Cheers
