Built By Wizards Raced by madmen Nissan 180sx

Postby Ruiner » Sat Jul 26, 2014 9:57 am

Not as interesting or as modified (yet) as many on here..but hey..thought id share. Started as a 180sx that was used in street racing (not by me), have heard it did well on the streets, and was chased many times by the cops...and yes i do think street racing is fucking stupid....but interesting that this car spend part of its life as one...... So she is a 91 Nissan 180sx, i decided on the S chassie as parts are plentiful and in japan they have modified theses cars for 20 odd years..so the hard work is basically done....i knew my budget would stretch to a spaceframe car, so floorpan was the way i went.

was a bit to clean really..to be chopped up...but ....i did anyway...

looked tuff i thought....should have probably left it as a street car at this point......at this stage it was still to just be a track car..for sprints etc

S chassis is a good thing and you choose the right thing if your wanting to do a full shell sports sedan

The back hatch on those is quite heavy and you will gain alot by getting a carbon one

Cheers, hatch is next to be lightened, I guttered drivers side door today. From standard door I took 25kg out. Will do the other one too. Upgraded brakes this week, put in R33 GTR rotors and spaced the R32 calipers. Bought a top mount also this week...and looking for a TD06 turbo, along with an injector upgrade from 550 to 1000.
