Anyone know what the history of the Westbury Falcon is? The white makes you think it was a Masterton Holmes car but that never raced as a Sports Sedan. The only other white Falcon that comes to mind was the one that Nick KarXXXX (excuse spelling) raced that was an ex Moffat Shell. Of course the car may have been a completely different colour in its Group C days, well if it was a Group C to begin with.
It was never a touring car , it was built from a road shell as a sports sedan in the mid 90's . The guys that built it had a thing for Dick Johnsons true blu falcon & it was origionally the Johnson blue .If you look through the windows you can still see the ABC pillars in the tru-blu color . It was the weirdest thing i have ever seen . They decided they had to lighten it so they got a 2" holesaw & drilled 100's of holes through the entire inside of the car , all through the floor , boot , even the shock towers , the whole thing looked like a big lump of swiss cheese , & it wasnt a chassi car so all these parts were still load bearing :o
They then lined the inside in 3mm alum checkerplate , which was actually heavier than all the plate that they had spent weeks holesawing out ???? Scary stuff .
I made a few machine adaptors for them to go from UNC tierods to UNF rod ends etc & i saw it race once or twice.
It turned up painted white at an oran park meeting a year or 2 later which is probably where the photos are from & thats the last i ever saw of it .
Maybe a big mouse ate it !!
