Historic Sports Sedan race meeting, Mallala Historics, Easter 2013

I had a meeting with a friend who is part of the Historic committee and got talking about Mallala's Historic Easter meeting next year...

I said they should put on an event for Historic Sports Sedans, I said if an event was held for them people may start to get their old cars out,

As he is an old Sports Sedan follower he loved the idea and said he will do as much as possible to try and make it happen!

We discussed that there most likely wont be many cars with the the correct log books, so agreed that we should make the event preferably for cars of a body shape up to 1986, at least this will fall in line with the rules to some degree...

I have already received a surprising amount of interest so this looks like it has a lot of potential to happen, not entirely sure but entry fees would be around $250-300 so Ive been told...

Anyway, if anyone is interested let me know and we can see if we can get a list of competitors going...

be nice to see some pics of the old escort.. but that is a nice list, maybe this year or next organise a historic sports sedan show at muscle car masters, love the old sports sedans

I havent seen the Escorts latest paint scheme, but I know Nathan has the car going again, which is good to see...

Just spoke to Dick Ward and he is keen on going over for the event and will try to get some more locals from Perth to go as well...

It would be my old mans series 5 rx7 (91) and possibly my new in the process of being built, rx8 (2010). Would love to come back, i havnt been there since the accident.
