ROUND 3, EASTERN CREEK

Postby MrBoost » Tue Jul 03, 2012 1:53 pm

i dont see why not these days the way things are, we had 27 or 28 entered for the last one. 25 did qually after friday.
last year we had all 3 rounds of 20 cars or more plus the 25 odd joint round, things are going well here in nsw nadz.
theres a bunch of guys in nsw on the brink of coming along soon too, like mr erik in the bmw, theres a capri almost
finished, the soarer is out now, lotsa good stuff. im sure doulman will be back in something soon too. All positives
to the numbers side of things

I totally agree with ya mate.... im thinking 2 things when it comes to combined nationals/state rounds..... 1. Most of the quicker cars from the state series are happy tyo race with the nationals guys so they can compare there times with the quicker nats guys and also its a great oppurtunity to get there machines out in the public eye... where as 2. Alot of the slower state guys prob dont wanna run with the quicker nationals cars due to the big differences in lap times and not wanting to just be a grid filler.... Just my quick opinion...

yeh i used to think that, but with state the way it is these days theres probably only 3-4 max national guys that are quicker and not by much.
i know of at least 3 guys from state that def arent running the nats because of there experience and speed and dont want to get in the way.
it seems to be the 'grid fillers' as in guys with commo cup cars or things like that, that dont turn up to these bigger events.
honestly i think we are starting to see things come real good. theres alot of cars almost finished and quite a few that are, and are just testing etc.
some of these nsw state cars will be full time nationals soon enough too.

You would be suprised how much exposure and TV a few "grid fillers" racing together at the back can get ;)

We always managed to get our car on telly and spoken about........coming last.

A few more "grid fillers" to race against would be fun.

Just remember, someone has to come last :p

No offence to the grid fillers damien, just sayin thats what they may think... If there were no grid fillers we would only have half a field...

no one is a grid filler in my opinion... every one is equal out there and has a chance to win, i think most back markers cant afford to run national or most states round anyway
