Good to see some club level stuff pics too, I am pretty sure that photo are from 1993, you can tell by the number of redundent Group A touring cars on the grid!!!

That is Steve Vigurs' Rover on the front row, it is the same one that Anthony Macready has been running for many years. Rob Tweedie is in the ex Seton Sierra and Peter O'Brien in the ex Colin Bond car. Lydon Bain's RX7 is there to (was it an old Group C car?) and good old Lance "Jack" Hughes in the beefy V8 powered Nissan Bluebird!!!

Another thing too I never realised that so many Chev Monzas were run over the years, where have they all ended up?

I agree 2002, there has been so many that has been run in Aus. I actually found a site that listed most of the IMSA Monzas that were built. I will see if I can find it again and post it! It says that the Old Moffat Monza is actually being restored (would love to know where that is). The Supra that Des and David ran (which is the one that Bryan Thompson built), is the ex Bob Jane/Peter Brock T Marts car.

JD, that's the old Richards Big M Falcon Hardtop, which Tony Hubbard brought, and if memory serves correctly, he end upside down in the start line crash at Calder (which involved 1/2 of the field). I seen those races you are talking about, the Late Night Legends with Lex. There was some great stuff on that. Esp the racing with Geoghan and Moffat (Mustang) in NZ, and that VW of Thommo's, would have loved to really see that in action. Read in some where (Auto Action/Motorsport News possibly) that he is looking at doing a restoration/replica of that car.

I am sure I have a sound understanding of where all the Monza's are now. I asked on another forum about 6 months ago and a few people in the know filled in the blanks for me. I will create a seperate thread for that question.

I will try and put up some screen scrapes of that start line accident at AIR (it was not at Calder). There is some good pics of it in the Australian Motor Racing Yearbook too.

Now I never saw any footage of Thommo in the VW on late night legends or Sports Sedan Racing in New Zealand. i though the only Sports Sedan races they showed was a race from 1973 at Warwick Farm and a race from 1976 Sandown 2+4 Meeting and a Race from the 1980 2 + 4 Meeting. So was there more races shown?????

i have most of the races on disc/tape, so i can check it out where it was from and send you a copy, pretty sure it was Thommo's vw. I will double check and let you know. Thanks for the correction to, regarding the accident at Adelaide, instead of Calder (I keep forgetting about that Bob Jane owned circuit). The main reason I remember is the pics in the yearbook, and that Tony put the Commodore on it's roof down here at Baskerville. The accident involved Hubbard (VS Commodore), Leon Burdon (VH Commodore (Local)), and the one and only, THE KING Jeff Barnes in the Monza. That was quite a few years ago now, and that was when Bob Tindal was no longer driving the VL anymore, and he put in another driver (David I think his name was).
