the photo is from when auto delta owned it in Perth Joe Ricardo owned it(Daniel Ricardo's dad).
But it never got the success that basil had. Buy a new car and try make it faster never happened. then th ca moved to Melb to the new owner till date

These pics are absolute gold, JD Yort you are a legend for posting them!
So much history you have to wonder where all these cars have ended up to.
Also some of the big names from years gone by, wonder what Tony Edmonson is up to these days?

That is interesting about the Ricciardello Alfas, I never knew he had so many of them built but I remember seeing that other one for sale ages ago. Wonder what Bennica ever did with their one, I know they sold the Hewland out of it. I've seen pictures on the net of Clerihan Alfa, has been restored car back to the original colour scheme

Carling's early RX7 looked pretty good, what ever happened to it? I know Bill Attard still has his one in the shed.

benincas alfa was chopped into tiny pieces. 1/4 of the chassis was sitting in his shop when we went there in 2003 i think it was.

Yeah they are screen scrapes from DVD's. Would be nice if they could be a higher resolution but guess should be happy with something from tapes that are 20 years old.

Here are some more......

Ahhh the Barnes Monza.

Here are a few more for you

Carling at Lakeside around 1988

Mike Griffin in the Rx7 at Oran Park

THis is when the 450sl looked the best. In the years of the boxed guards.

These pics are Brilliant, this thread just gets better and better!!!

Is that the old JPS BMW 318i turbo of Jim Richards that I see when Rob Burns ran it in Victoria? Have to agree that Thommos Merc looked great with the open box guards,
there sure were some wild looking machines back in those days.

I would also love to get a copy of them as well Boost!!!!! Hey JD Yort what have you got regarding the sports sedans, how far back do you have for the racing.
Do you have any back from the late 70's early 80's with Edmondson, Grice, McCormack, etc.. I would love to get a copy of those if you got them.

Not much from the 70's apart from the stuff they showed on ABC2 last year. Think it was only two races.
Always keen to hear from people that have any old races. Just send me a PM.

Here are some more.
