Capri Sport Sedan

Postby brickracer » Mon Jan 09, 2012 11:09 am

Hello

I have had this car for around 15 years or more, would like to find out the history of this car, i saved it from the tip, it looks like it last raced in 1986 according to the CAMS sticker inside the driver door sill area. Does anyone know or remember this car, its set up to run i think a Chev with a transaxle in the rear.

Cheers

I have added a couple of extra pic's

Thanks everyone

What are your plans for the car???, hopefully restoring it to its past glory.., get in contact with jdyort here on the forum, he is a bit of a historian/sports sedan guru, he should know some history epecially if it was raced in NSW..

Could it be the old Laurie Hazelton version, has similar guards and the big cut out in the front like Laurie's..

When did your old man last race it Toyzda?

I have no pics of it but did find this on Autopics:

Brickracer, there is a guy on the Autosport Nostalgia forum called Timbo. He has the most amazing back catalogue of old Sports Sedan photos. Get in contact with him for more pics if Toyzda does not have many.

Good stuff :) It was mainly the guards and front cut out that triggered my memory to think it was your dad's...

Dad has a few good ones of the build too. I will get him to scan them and send them to me to post up.

I would have to confirm the last meeting with him, but it was before the Grp C Capri he had in 83'.

He was very happy to see her and that someone picked it as his too. Good one Bondy.
