No Roddy? What happened to Irvin? Mark Nelson with a Dodge engine! Good to see Barnes and Wall back. Interesting to see how Camm goes in the new Vette. I reckon Tony and Darren will be hard to beat and Youlden will run with them at the start. May even hold onto them if they battle.

P.S. For anyone in Melbourne the Victorian SS Championship is on at PI next weekend.

I think you are being a bit harsh with that comment.
If you were a car owner paying the majority of the bills (if not all of them like most guys do!) I doubt you'd want to potentially burn up thousands of dollars in the logistics of traveling to SA with a car that is not tested and which may not bring in a result.

have to agree with that one. Try running your own business, having a family etc AND spending a million hours on a race car. We dont buy bits of the shelf like almost every other category. its all designed and built by the guys who run them. Apart from that the jamo's are building a second car so this could help them get that up and going quicker.

I guess all you guys havent had much time since your last meeting

this is the reason why the catagory always falls over due to lack of entrants?

Oh well at least the mains guys will be there.

And Jamos building another car but hasnt sorted his first one. Seems normal

i have an idea.

why dont you sponsor some of these guys so they can take the time off work to build their cars? Then we would have everyone!

if a category can have only 5 cars in a race at oran park and still put on a great race i dont think i could say it ever 'fell over'

5 cars is a pathetic effort really.

Roads I have to ask would you be making such a big issue out of one particular car not turning up to the race meeting if it was someone elses?
Or are you having a go at any Sport Sedan runner who has entered a meeting, paid their entry fee and for unforeseen circumstances (car not being ready, sponsorship dollars fell through, business or personal reasons) not been able to make the meeting?

Look I don't I know if you own or race a Sport Sedan but really criticism of Jamo is not warranted. Whether you like him or not he has been part of the National Sport Sedan scene for as long as I can remember and while people may not always agree with his views at least he is out there having a go.

Youlden 1st, Bailey 2nd, and Phil (go you good thing) 3rd. Sad to see that there was only 8 cars for the first race today, and 2 did not finish. It also looks as though Tony and Darren did not contest the first race either!!! Can anyone shed some light on to why this is the case, as both cars practiced (and practice was wet and the race was dry). If you want the race results and practice times for the meet then click on the link below, then select the Shannons National Championships.

:D ;)
Also Roads there are unfortunate circumstances that do happen which stop people from racing. After all where is the XJS of Roddy at this round, or Dean Camm just to name 2 (and i must admit that I am going off the result on the above link, but they took part in the series last year and they have not turned up to SA for this round. YET??? As long as the racing is great between the 6 cars that is all I ask, would be better if there was more, but there isn't. And I repeat again GOOD LUCK EVERY ONE!!!!
