Make sure you keep us posted on your way to the first race in the little beast. I like hearing about first tests (especially since mine was a terrible first day). I worked on my car all day in the garages at Wakefield, only to trailer it home again.

I wish the best of luck for you on your first day.

Looking good Toyzda (especially those guards). Is this a complete new car or an older car was used as the basis? What colour scheme are are you going to do?

Its completely new. I am painting it to get my log book sorted out. Have booked in spaceframe/ ROPS rego for April round of the NSW state series at Wakefield. I think it was Friday, so anyone testing can come and have a closer look. I won't be racing that round, but hopefully the joint u2L and NSW round at Wakefield in August. Got alot of development & testing to do and I only have my L2S lic.

Does anybody know if you can skip OLT & P's if you have held a CAMS lic previously? I know you used to be able to from Karting to Cars, but am unsure. I guess I can call CAMS and find out.

I had a about two or three different designs masked up before paint. I decided to go all white first and then re-think it. Now I have just confused myself... Probably keep most of it white, with a couple of minor details. I like it simple and it is easier to repair! Who knows though. I have changed my mind since writing this.... I will finish the white base and see. More sanding.... :(

Hmmm. If you are leaving it white, perhaps you should just do a couple of blue sections....
I am pretty sure it has never been done on a S4 race car and would look pretty darn good.

Yeah I thought of that too. I used to love the RX-7's at bathurst (even though Dad hated racing with them) and there colour scheme. I also thought of matching a Group C rear deck spoiler (as above) onto the S4 (even though it was actually a S5 I am not picky...) and then painting white & blue. It would really suit the S4 shape, but a modern wing was made. One thing I do know is it will be simple like the 80's cars. I don't like the cluttered modern designs.

Its now painted. Finish is off the gun, so still got to cut back and polish. Went for simple and bold. I will be sure to add to it as i damage it ;)
