Commodore VN VP VR VS Sports Sedans

Nadz had added some old photos in another post and i noticed that there is 2 Commodores that are white, one is Luffys car (across the windscreen) and the other with no name, but i noticed the number as 51 is'nt that Bob's number. So this maybe an early shot of Bob's car before he put the graphics on it. I see that in a picture on the grid at Oran Park the white Commodore in the middle has 'MAYBE' the same sign writing on the bonnet as car 51 in the photo below. I also have an old article that says a person by the name of Krause (wasnt there a Krause with an EH) drove a Commodore VS Sports Sedan in a race at Oran Park. Nadz maybe you have a photo of Krause in a Commodore.

I remember in the last Kerrick Round at Oran Park in 2004, Krause raced a Silver VS Commodore V8 Supercar in amongst the Sports Sedans. :)

Bob's car went straight from a VL to a VS body, so I'm certain that even though the number is the same the above pic is a different car to Bob's.

Wow, this get's more complicated!! Who is in the 51, I see it has Steve's Toyshop logos on the bonnet!! Is that car the ex-Nolan car which is now owned by Rockie Whitbread in Queensland????

Yeah, it does and it looks like it is LHD as well just to add to the dilemma. From what i can see from all the posts, there looks like only 2 LHD cars Pate's and Bobs???????....good onya JD i thought the site was getting a little boring lately.

Im sure that is monterosso's commodore because your grid listing does say monterosso in a blue and yellow commodore and it was no.2.... I was at that meet and that was where the jag was backed into the wall on sat qualifying...

Your right Nadz, I just re watched the DVD and it is Mick Monterosso. So that car was yellow too.

I would think that one of these would more than likely be the Mark Poole Commodore:

So we basically have no idea as yet with what became of the Doherty and Hubbard cars?

This pic is interesting in that I swear it says Flymo on the side of the car which means it would be Bob Jolly car but it is a VN / VP nose. I thought he skipped that shape all together,

Not sure if the Doherty/ Hubbard cars are the same car? But i'm 99% sure the VP in the above pic of Doherty driving is the car that was bought by Michael Robinson and ran in Vic painted yellow in his Bell Real Estate colors. Has since been sold to Chas Talbot who still runs it in Vic now painted white. Was in the big crash at Sandown earlier in the year. Robbo would know for sure..
Yes, that's definitely Bob driving the VP but not sure which car it is. Definitely not the Vr that Ricey has..

The Darren Pate Lexcen was originally built by Steves Toyshop and was later bought back and raced by Steve and was then sold to Jackson until that horrible monring when Chris awoke ready to set off to a race metting to find it tow vehicle and all had been stolen.

And yes the McLoughlin car is another Steves Toyshop car

Taylors car has been the "donor" for both Camaro cars

Mark Morgan from Bathurst has the chasis from Taylors car, while Steven Shiels has the motor for his new Camaro which we hope to see on the track VERY soon.

The white 51 commodore was Steves own race car in which he won the state championship before being sold to Dennis Nolan and now the car has made the hike upto QLD

The Gerwald car was sold as a roller to a fellow by the name of Gary ?? who lived in Sydney at the time.
The car was transported to Pacific Performance in Qld minus engine to have an engine built and fitted plus some other minor maintainence work.
It sat around for awhile and Steve Packman did a local race at Lakeside in it to shake it down and Allen (Cusso) Boughen did the Surfers Paradise indy meeting in 1997 in it for Hi Tec oils. Car is probably under a tree or shed somewhere as it never appeared again.

The McLoughlin Commodore was originally Steves' Black and Pink VL that he raced around NSW for a while and then it went to James Rosenburg in SA and was driven by Mark Poole.

The Luff/Taylor commodore was originally Rodney Cricks old Torona built by Bob Tindall and through a joined effort by Steves Toyshop and Peter Crick was transformed into the VN.
