3.7 bar..... hehehehehahahaha i love it. when i first rebuilt my car i ran it at wakefield, i came onto the straight and the thing left black marks in toooo many gears. i was very very excited (and a little scared) the sound of the thing was unbelievable but it would misfire a bit. i brought it in after 3 laps to give it more fuel. when i looked at the log i realised why the car went so well...... the wastegate was jammed shut and boost went off the map sensors limits :)

thought it was too good to be true and i was holding on too tight to ever bother to look at the boost gauge.
inside the car it sounded kinda like aeroplane propellers, like a really fast chook chook chook chook, hehe i love boost

Hey Boost, sounds like fun.. I have a heap of spares for the V6 so maybe one day we might build a dunger to experiment with bigger boost. I'd love to have a go just once at 50psi. They still hold the fastest lap record in qualifying at indiannapolis but the car was so dangerous when it hit boost that the guy wrote it off on the warm up lap...SICK!!!

Steve's Toyshop has a similar looking engine for sale.
V6 Buick stage 2, 4.5 litre with 580hp on an engine dyno.
I don't know much else about it myself but the bottom end looks the same.
I'd be keen to see how they go, are you doing any of the national rounds this year loser?

how much would you be lookin at for one of those buick sixes, seems like a good cheap alternative for horsepower especially in a little lightweight car...
#44 Datsun 240Z 6L Chev Sequential Hollinger..... (I Wish)....:p

Steve is selling his Buick for $11,000 plus GST and yeah I think it would be a good thing in a light car too.

Hey Trent,

The Morgan Park weekend was good for us. Had a great test day Friday and found some extra pace and made the car easier to drive...better turn in. Have changed the spring rates quite a bit in the rear and are getting better power down. Used up the best of the ex Eastern Creek tyres on friday and was well under the lap record. Come Sunday I was 2/10ths outside it so was a bit disapponted in that. Track had lost grip and my tyres were past their prime so we just fiddled with camber and tyre pressures to find something ideal.

Morgan Park track is a great test track as it has some slow and medium bends and plenty or opportunity to sort pwer down and brakes also. Aero does not really get working so can work all day on mechanical grip. Car ran reliably so I am looking forward to catching up with you guys at OP.

I am suprised nobody has ever tried a Porche Turbo engine in a S/Sedan (other than 935's ect of course).

I think there was an Escort with a Porsche engine in it a few years back. Will have a look for the clipping.
