I had to weld in a tunnel back in and it is in very good condition. I have owned it since 92 and it never hit the track back then. I race another car.
I would drive in Group C but I only have a 13b PP for it at the moment and don't have plans to spend $$$$ on a 12a bridge port.
Don't get me wrong but driving with 280 at the wheel compared to 180. ;)
I went to a Histric meeting at Mallala on the weekend and there was a guy there who has just got a "Historic Registration" for his FJ Sports Sedan, has a Mid mount holden 6 with Triple Webbers... didnt look to bad
There must be a heap of these old cars around... I recall going to Adelaide International Raceway when I was a kid and seeing at least a dozen Ford Anglia's with all sorts of motors in them... surely they didnt all get chopped up and thrown away!?
There were quite a few FX / FJ Sports Sedans back in the day. The FJ of Tony Ross was probably the most successfull of them. He would feature in the results in the Championship rounds. Sponsored by a pie company at one stage I think. Assume most of them would have not survived.
