JD how many rooms at your place are taken up with paper clippings and sports sedan history.......glad someone is doing it.!!!!!!! Where did the car come from, like who built it. Was it always Rotary powered.

The name of the original owner escapes me. The car was always rotary engined and has a lot of old Gp A Sierra running gear.

Some great photos there....has any one got any photos or video of the 2000 race of 1000 years in Adelaide New Years Eve on the old Grand Prix circuit ...ive tried to find anything relating to this race but to no avail.

Channel 10 only showed a 3 minute highlight package of the races. A real shame as Tony came off the back of the grid in one of the races.

Great photos from the the 1994 Thundersports JD Yort, looked like a top quality field. If memory serves me correctly David Attard was driving the Alcair Commodore that year, far out it copped a nasty hit the roof is bent!
I've also been told that the Mark Poole Commodore was an ex Steve Vigurs car (used to be black with pink and blue graphics on it) that raced in NSW throughout 1992.

The car used to be yellow and I remember it caught on fire at an Oran Park Day/Night meeting at the end of 1996, pulled up on the infield near the dogleg.

Wow thats a great old poster i used to have that as a kid. I remember that meeting because we went to the truck meets religiously but for some reason cant remember seeing that alfa...Theres some great lookin cars in that poster (Pates green c/dore,walls supra, mikacs rx7 before it was yellow, Axisas vk and the first calibra chev but that didnt hit the track for another year or 2) would love to see them out on the track

hehe i have about 5 of those posters, that yellow alfa in the top right is the one in question.

i have that adelaide race on tape somewhere...... i also bought a dvd recorder yesterday.... guess what that means?? 2 full dvd's already!!

Never knew the Edmondson / Clearihan Alfa was once black and fluro yellow. Not the nicest colour scheme.
