More from Grant Brennan on his car:
Hi

have read some of the comments on your facebook page from your members and would like to answer a few If I may

1 - Bernies car was unrestricted in Revs so he would have been able to do as he pleased - we dont have Rev limiting - Our cars are not under the old Transam rule instead opting for a more open class.

2 - Tenderlink Corvette is still up for sale - it is now red. We have had some very good races with this car and driver. John is a very good clean competitor. John is shifting his focus to heading up the new class being formed.

3 - Traction control is on a switch. We have 2 switches, 1 for Launch control and one for Full traction. We actually turn it off and dont drive with it as we prefer the feel without it.

4 - Our Corvette holds the GT1 record at Pukekohe of 55.619 (see attached) - our cars are doing 54's and 55's there. Does Taupo 1.27 - Manfield 1.05 and Hampton Downs in testing 1.05 but will do a 1.03

5 - Redimensioned body. The official supplier of these bodies in the USA is Derhaag but they are not very well dimensioned with discrepencies in all the european style flares and splitter. Some of these discrepencies are as much as 40mm. Our bodies were made true Left to Right and remoulded with a true centreline thru the car.

Cheers

Brennan Racing

I hope Jim Derhaag doesn't read this as his opinion about this is not repeatable ! Oh he would be very touchy on this matter ?

Charlie Senese's Corvette is the Mike Agee built Corvette driven by a Mike Skeen in 2010 in the TA series and he was the rookie of the series. The car that Charlie ran had the exact same livery and number it used in the TA series.

It would appear Geoff is right saying Trans Am is pretty close to Sports Sedans. This is the Atlanta 2010 race
A Pontiac G8 and GTO as well was racing(Holden Commodore)

Phils current model Mustang.

Mazda RX7
A Jaguar very similar to Dameon's

You know this Corvette same colours and number as run in Mallala

Latest on Geoff Fane:
Geoff just crashed out of Testing after being Squeezed by TA car when he was passing it in turn 7 at the Glen . Took the Tyre wall at speed and took the front of the car . They fixed the car and he missed Practice one but made practice two .

On the lap ten when he was coming of turn Ten the car shut down .When rolled to a stop the crowd was yelling out to get out of the car . When he did he stood into massive puddle of fuel . When he realized he went to push the car away from the fuel but the car exploded into flames as he pushed . He managed to pull the fire bottle and push the car out of the fire and saved it with out getting burnt . It left a massive fire on the edge of the track which stopped practice two . They towed the car back and are fixing it as we speek.

Early in the Practice Bob Steech on lap 2 destroyed his Camaro coming out of turn 3 in the esses into the armco right in front of Geoff . This place takes no prisoners .

Another Update:
Geoff just finnished 4th in class and 12th outright at Watkins Glen . Had a much better run then previous week. Realized that the car was not competative against the top TA2 cars and went for the finnish . 100 miles was the distance . Good for the Team after all the issues . His Team mate had a small crash then blew an engine . This is tough racing
