Thanks for posting the article, a good read. I never knew Nissan lent a hand with the body shell side of things. On the few occasions I saw it run at Amaroo and Oran Park it was an absolute missile.

Go the VG30 power!!

What a weapon! Pretty cool Nissan loved the idea of building the car. What ever happened to this car?

Kerry brought the car, to get the moulds for him to build his current car. The car then got sold to Greame Bailey (Chickadee), and then sold the car to Stephen Voight, who has in turn sold it to Anthony MacCready. The Nissan motor was not sold with the car, and has been running a Chev in it ever since. Think it was written on here somewhere that the mechanic still has the motor!!

Thanks

I remember that day well.
I was in the pits working on our car when Keith came in a whiter shade of pale.
When doing his 300+ trip down conrod, the front end lifted a little over the hump.

Flat bottom car + lift = increased heart rate.

He ended up putting some weight in the nose of the car after that as well as floating the throttle on the hump..

fun, fun, fun.....

What a mad experience that would be BJ.... Do you guys think the current batch of cars would hit that speed these days if given the chance to grace this awesome track....???

It would be great to see the current batch of sports sedans back at the mountain.
and yes. It's only a matter of engineering to make sure +300 with the current track.

I'm looking for an old car I built as well.
We ran in the days with Keith and Bob Tindal.

i'm looking for Gegg mcShane's old XBCoupe.
i helped Gregg build that back in the 80's and it he hit it's straps in the early mid 90's before Gregg left us.

it was an XB Falcon Coupe that was in MOMO livery but went to WA and then back east.
Last I heard, it was back in VIC or Tassi.....?

If anyone knows where it is I would appreciate my details heading to the current owner.
