Historic Sports Sedan for sale

Hi All,

I know of a Historic Sports sedan for sale.
Its a MK1 Escort, mid mount rotary, Alloy cage (very light) with a "Log Book!"
It needs some work, but comes with heaps of parts to go with it!
The owner isnt looking for "Historic" amounts of money for the car.
He's had it for years and doesnt have the time to finish it...

I will try and find out what goes with it and what sort of money he wants for it...
Im guessing around $5000...??? Not a lot for a historic racing car...

I know the "Group U" Sports Sedans hasnt really taken off but plenty of people have been talking about it...
I know I have 2 cars with Log books waiting for me to get time to finish them...

From what I have found out about the RX7 sports sedan I have, they must have a documented race history prior to December 1985, and they must be the original car in the original as built speceification, and you have to show a lineage of ownership.

I am now looking at selling this RX7, it is fully Group U compliant, but it needs an engine and induction change, (back to a 12App or bp, with a Weber IDA,) and the 19x10 rims need to be changed to 15x10 and 13x10, otherwise it is all original, and with logbooks.

CAMS Historic events are now allowing the Group U cars to run in same fields as the GroupC and A cars at meetings, it has been occuring here inQld for a few years now. It is just up to the car owners to pull a finger out and approach the meeting organisers and request to be allowed to run in a field of similar type cars (C and A's)
