Woo Hoo we finished!

Graham finally had a top w/e and car went like a dream!

after the crash from wakefield the front end of the car was rebuilt and tested at oran park last tuesday.

sat qualifying he ran around and did a 1.37.7 at eastern creek.
race 1 started from 4th, took whittaker off the line and then passed macready out of turn 9. got jackson going into turn 9 the next lap. had the lead but had a small oil leak squirting on exhaust. made it smoky inside the cabin so backed off and chris got back past. he finished second with whittacker and macready close behind. HE FINISHED WOO HOO. haha

race 2 he again got a blinder of a start and lead the first 3-4 laps before out braking himself into 2 and chris slipped by. he held onto the back of chris and finished 2nd again with whittaker third... i think. macready had a spin out of turn 8 and came in 4th

race 3 again a blinder start and led the first 5 laps with chris hot on the heels. pulled a false neutral in the sequential out of turn 3 and chris got by, held onto chris and then an exhausut broke off, slowed and macready got him on last lap. to FINNISH third.

awesome w/e for us, congratulations dad you definately deserve it!

good sign being the car ran on tyres that were bought for sandown 07. they had done sandown qualifying, eastern creek qualifying and 1 race, another eastern creek qual and race 1, wakefield qualifying 1 and 2 and wakefield race 1. so they were old with a fair few heat cycles. the other fellas had brand spankas.
he also was running the car on low boost, 15-18psi and only revving it to 7000rpm which was good for a 135.5 during race 2.

cant wait for oran park now, hopefully we can keep the good form haha.

Congrats Boost to you and Dad, its about time all the hard work that you 2 and your team of guys have had some positive results. Even tho you still had the little niggles, it is great to see that you guys finished the weekend still going, and not having a retirement!!! Maybe you should push your dad outta the car now and run it and tell him to get a couple of dollars on yours!!! (Only Joking Graham, you deserve all the accolades!!!) Hope to keep hearing more great news from you guys with improvements of the car!!!

All the best :D

No major repairs so get into the service items and hopefully do a full race at OP without any of the minor issues that cost you a couple of wins last weekend.

Never give up, never.
