hi all
i also arrived at turn 1 and had a big moment on oil, because i didnt see any oil on the road i pulled off the track and parked it thinking that had to be my oil. when i got out nothing clean !!! the marshals even let me drive it back to the pits. the engine had a tiny missfire on boost so we parked it for the weekend. later found a dicky injector on number 4 cyl. i think it needs a 6.0l not the 2.6l

We haven't had ours on a chassis dyno. Chris has had his SB2 chev on a chassis dyno but I don't know what the difference is. I'll try and find out, it's a fine line to find the amount of usable power without lighting up the tyres so easily. Steve has made a few engine mods since last year and it seemed to work pretty well we thought. I was trying to keep my tyres as good as I could to use them again at the Nationals so I quess I was being a bit gay under brakes so I wouldn't flatspot them. Flying off the track at turn 1 certainly didn't help there though.
That footage came out well Dave, you certainly get off the line well

so you think you might give darren a bit of a hurry up at the nationals with the power and times which have been done?

Or do you think you still a little behind? And what areas?

Na I wasn't saying that at all!
The National Sports Sedans have not raced at Wakefield since the track has been resurfaced but the state series has.
If we were running 59s I expect Tony and Darren to get to 57s or maybe 56 and probably faster again in qualifying.
While I think our car is quick for what we spend on it, I still have alot to learn about driving it.
I have only driven a sports sedan for 2 years after driving a HQ a few years before that.
I would be happy just be within sight of Darren & Tony on the track at the end of a race, but like everybody on the track, we will certainly be trying

Thats some cool lookin footage Dave. Is your car runnin slicks??? Whats the rules with all wheel drive cars? I know they have to be full chassis but can they run all fibreglass bodies and perspex? If so i think you might see some morew of that type of vehicle gracing our tracks...,.Keep up the good work dave
#44 Datsun 240Z 6L Chev Sequential Hollinger..... (I Wish)....:p
