Was it John Bourke driving the Celica?

Yep that is the Bryan Hilton Toyota Celica driven by John Bourke. There was two of them, the 2nd car was driven by Doug Clark and was recently for sale on My105. It had been modified with one of the most ugly front ends you could imagine on it. Someone else bought it and worked out that it was the Doug Clark car and was then reselling it as a historic Sports Sedan. Bourke's originally had a Turbo 6 in it. He moved from that into Production car racing with the Supra.

Seen in this months Aust Muscle Car Mag, they have interviewed John McCormick, and have also found and spoken with the owner of the Mustang that Jim Richards drove, and he is going to restore it back to the Sidcrome colours, and how it looked as well. 2 very good interviews.

Yep, thats the thing. You could make a better looking front splitter with some pieces of driftwood and masking tape. Absolutely shocking. I think it was initially only a few thousand but then when the new owner went to sell it as Doug Clarks car the price increased sharply.
