So the opportunity has arisen for the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series to add a 6th round as part of the Winton V8 Supercar round in 2015.
I think it's a fantastic opportunity to showcase Australia's best Sports Sedans in front of a huge crowd both at track and on TV.
Also to promote the Shannon's Nationals as it will create a lot of interest back in the class. Not to mention a great opportunity for Malcolm and the whole Kerrick team.
What are others thoughts?

As much as I don't like the v8 supertaxis this can only be a good thing, plenty of people to watch which would be good for sponsors...

So the event clashes with a VIC state round but not one in which Sports Sedans are running?
It really is great news. All Warburton has to do to re -engage with Australian Motorsport public is to stop being a tool over the 12hr and at each V8, round leave 1 or 2 slots open for other categories (like Sports Sedans). I am assuming this will mean live coverage on Foxtel too which must be the first time in a very very very long time for Sports Sedans.

Awesome guys, congrats, now we just need to run a round at the muscle car masters each year, now that would be cool...

Not much going on in here so thought I should post to get some interest happening....
Can someone confirm this round of the sports sedans is being televised on foxtel???? I really hope so as the inlaws have bit the bullet and decided to get foxtel just in time for this meeting.
Should be a pretty good turnout of cars particularly if the vic state round doesnt include the sports sedans,. should see plenty of home support from the Victorians, giving them the opportunity to race in front of large crowd and receive tv coverage.
Shame Hossack is out but we have a more then acceptable replacement in Jack Perkins, I reckon he will be more then quick enough in the Audi rocket.
Hopefully this will attract some interstate interest as well. Would love to see the likes of Steven Lacey, Chris Jackson, Birol Cetin, Geoff Whittaker, Anthony McReady, Simon Copping, Steven Shiels, Stuart Inwood, Grant Doulman and Scott Reed to represent NSW, and Shane Bradford, Bob McLoughlin, Shane Hart, Mark Bowen, Anthony Cox, Charlie Senese and co to represent QLD.....

Unfortunately mate, I'm hearing rumours that none of the Sunday races will be televised?
Saturday qualifying and a race but not Sunday.
Unsure how true that is but we'll just have to wait and see I guess?
Also from what I understand, none of the NSW guys are running?
A few from Victoria have entered despite there being a state round at Sandown on the same weekend.

Yeah pretty disappointed there is no NSW representation other then McLeod, our state series would be the strongest in the country yet no one is willing to run with the nationals, especially on a grand scale of a v8 supercar meeting...
Pretty raw deal if there is no tv for the sports sedan guys on sunday, v8 supercars are greedy pricks when it comes to television, I would rather watch all the support acts then have to watch them wankers rave on about technical mumbo jumbo...
