Registering as a new user ACTION REQUIRED! -Spammers be gone

I've grabbed this post off the IPRA Forum as they use the same phpBB Software and it is relevant to us.
Due to the current influx of spammers using their bots and attempting to register on this forum, I have a very simple request to make of ALL of you.
When registering, please place something useful in the location field (e.g. the city or state where you live). From now on, I am assuming that anyone how fails to comply with this is considered a spambot and the account will be deleted.
At the moment we have set up the Forum so registrations require Admin activation, so that has certainly slowed them down a bit!
For those of you that are already registered, please update your location field by clicking on "Profile" above and you will be saved the hassle of getting banned. I will be pretty lenient with existing users but any new users will get ZERO TOLERANCE!!!!
I'm sorry to have to do this, but the automatic protections that are on the site to prevent this are getting broken quicker than I can fix them, so basically if you can read this post, then you are probably not a spammer. And if you can read, you can follow instructions and update your location field
