you would be surprised nadz, those corners require alot of speed to be carried through
them and some very heavy braking. Its not all horsepower

From what e.c is tellin us state guys torana racer it looks like we will get a mix of full
new track and normal track next year. Being in july id say its a 50/50 chance.
although i havent actually seen opening dates. To be a national round id reckon that
would be one they are aiming for.
The circuit is looking pretty cool, lap times would have to be gettin up near 2 mins

I will try and find out which EC track version we will be racing on. I assumed the same track as always however are you telling me there is now a longer version again?

Yes 2 events in NSW, EC and Wakefield. It would be nice to have some teams from NSW compete in the series as at the tail of last year we lost the only 2 being Butler and Macready. To have 2 events in NSW without any NSW entrants in both events would be quite tragic. I have yet to be confirmed that EC will be a joint state / Nat round but the right noises are being made for that to happen. Hopefully Andrew will advise me soon.

QR is an interesting track. I have always found it difficult to get repeatability of lap times on that track, difficult to nail every lap right so you think locals may have an advantage...however no SS racer actually has raced at QR in many years as yhey do not normally hold CAMS sanctioned meetings.

The track has been resurfaced but I heard the other day they never let it settle long enough and put cars on it and guess what....damage done that will require further repairs and more no car time.

yeh phil i cant believe you havent heard, eastern creek was given somthing in the order of 7 million from the
government and chipping in 2 million themselves to massively extend the circuit. it allows them to have a 'grand prix'
length circuit and will be splitable into two circuits to allow multiple events in one day

check out pics of the design here - http://ardc.pressroom.com.au/images.asp?clientID=39&navSectionID=5

its the image at the bottom of the page. how the hell do people reduce images below 25kb to get them on here too?

thats why we had to run the new short circuit at the last state round as they were working on the join points of the new circuit and didnt fancy us hitting an excavator.

it also has listed in the latest nsw sports sedan newsletter that the e.c round will be joint state so im guessing
thats the answer? it came out yesterday i think.
