Thanks Guys. The Oran park race was my first race meet ever. Bid of a baptism of fire. Bit like this forum, but it has gotten better. Your right FalconEL Having other cars around just faster than you dose make you try a bit harder. I'm pretty sure the Magna would be faster than me but it would make me try harder. When I started I used to look at what Rahma in the BMW would do and that was my goal. Still haven't got there.

You're forgiven for not coming to Wakefield this weekend Glenn, but we want to see you for the rest of the rounds for sure. Funny you talk about Rama being your goal to beat, as I was aiming to beat you. Does that mean I would have beaten Rama?

Phastphil or pretolhead, just a question. More out of curiosity than anything. Why was the 1995 date chosen? I just would have thought you'd be likely to get more entries if you had a few more years to play with - maybe 1986 on, which would marry up to the back end of the historic period? Not a criticism or anything, I was just wondering.

The rules were modelled off some rules that were used in the touring car challenge for a class of car as those guys also wanted to participate.
If we made it 1985 then I am sure someone with a 1984 model would want it changed. I think a 15 year old time span is more than adequate choice of car and model.

Fair enough. So have many of the touring car challenge cars come over to the HMSS now?

2 cars to date, a Monaro due to be at Mallala and the Magna that was at WP.
Those guys need to shake their tree and get some more on board.

Andrew I've gone slower over the last 2 years. So the answer is Rama would leave us both in his dust :D And yes I am working on making it to the rest of the rounds.
