See mick regularly he sold the car less engine to a guy that has come out from England 18 months ago who saw the car at the last Kerricks round in 2007 here at Mallala and purchased it, then apparently walked up to Mick and asked him some questions about the car and Mick asked him if he wanted to buy it. I've spoken to the owner who now is just finishing of his house then will start putting it together with a turbo engine. Mick has been doing nothing has had a few drives in his daughters Commodore Saloon car but he was talking about an old chev for the Biante series.

That's a shame that he doesn't run in Sport Sedans anymore, he always put on a good show.
If I recall correctly he wanted to build a Toyota MR2 nearly 10 years ago but CAMS knocked it back.

Hope the Escort resurfaces again with the turbo motor soon.

I know he misses it badly, i think he might be up for some drives in mine..and yes he was going to put the MR2 body on it as they wanted him to update the body but nothing would fit except that and then they knocked it on the head...

Funny cams urged him to update the body yet knocked it back when the only body he could fit was an mr2...would have been a great looking car..

I think because of the wheel base they are only i think 94 " or something and anything along that wheelbase is too narrow to fit over the Escorts frame. I think they ruled as a sports car at the time however i'm pretty sure there is one in Victoria running around maybe meridian motorsport? The rules may have changed.
