I reckon David Waldon's Honda Prelude was one of the best shape cars I've seen, very aerodynamic. It was an Under 2-Litre car that used to race in QLD and was sold to Tasmania and has subsequently disappeared off the face of the earth..... :( If one could shoehorn a nice V8 into it and beef up the driveline to suit, I reckon it would be a real weapon.

I guess to build your dream Sports Sedan, you need to think about wheelbase, weight, horsepower, aerodynamics, the whole package.

My ideal Sports Sedan would be right on the weight limit of 1125kg's including driver, have a 700hp Ford V8 powerplant, Motec with sensors on everything, Holinger 6-Speed, Live Rear Axle with Cambered 9" Diff.

I probably would then need at least one full time employee and a transporter along with a healthy budget to run all the National Rounds. :D One day.......

well they would when you cant let new ones in.... 6L multivalve new engine will eat a 6L chev, no point denying it. its all about keeping current equipment viable so costs dont go through the roof for a season or two while people build the new engines and develop them.

apart from that they would be lighter so more effort can be put into other areas such as the chassis (ie more weight in the chassis will be ok)

ANYWAY the closest thing to my dream sports sedan may be coming back next year..... cant let the cat out of the bag yet tho, will be a great asset to the championship if it happens.

and guess what??? surprise surprise its turbocharged!
