Where were the SS races on the MCM coverage on 7 Mate today. I know there were no historic cars on display but there were some racing. We had great fields and great racing and great diversity but no TV, not happy Jan !!!!

We weren't promised any TV, and from what I heard the caeras weren't even turned on during the Sports Sedan races. So I wouldn't get my hopes up about the DVD...

The TV production company would have been paid by the organisers to film certain races. They would have been the categories that were paying the bill.
My experience is if you are not paying for the production for a DVD or for broadcast then you will rarely be given the opportunity to have it filmed so it does not surprise me at all that they turned the cameras off and had a break.
As many of you already know all the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series rounds are filmed and broadcasted on SBS speedweek and also on Speed pay TV channel numerous times. It is also broadcast live in full unedited on ITVlive over the internet.
If being on TV is important to your team and sponsors then I would recommend that you keep an eye out for the Kerrick Sports Sedan Series entry form emails that are sent to most sports sedan teams. If you do not receive them then email me on sportssedan21@bigpond.com

TV or no TV, who cares it was one of the biggest and best crowds I have ever raced in front of ;)
The amount of interest and questions about our cars was fantastic.
Most other series' should learn a lesson in marketing from this event.

I agree with Phil. The Kerrick series has TV coverage, so if that is what you are after then the Kerrick series is the place to race.
I also agree with Mr Torana. The event was outstanding from all other aspects, and we didn't need TV for it. The feedback we got from the spectators, the organisers and even other categories was very positive, to say the least.
And so to the future...
I just got off the phone with the MCM organisers and although they were happy with the show put on by Sports Sedans, it is highly unlikely that we will be at the event in 2012. This is due to the inclusion of both the NZ Muscle Cars and Formula 5000, who only attend the event every second year. However, I am told that the invitation for Sports Sedans will most certainly be there for 2013.
So it looks like the MCM will be a biennial event, which will help us with planning things well in advance. With Bathurst being on the calendar for 2012, I think this is probably a good thing. One major non-championship event each year is probably enough.

That is a bummer toymax, but what you say in regards to the bathurst event is true, we shouldnt be tryin to run too many big one off events, it would prob kill the shannons meets off and thats not what were tryin to achieve here...
