Hi all
Any one know next years race calendar for sport sedans
I would like to start planning holidays to suit.

Apparently something is to be anounced soon regarding the calendar and some other exciting news...

Here are our Victorian State dates;

ROUND 1 PHILLIP ISLAND APRIL 16-18
ROUND 2 SANDOWN MAY 21-23
ROUND 3 SANDOWN JULY 23-25 JULY (No Sports Sedan races as ASSA Vic runs this meeting)
ROUND 4 PHILLIP ISLAND SEPTEMBER 25-26

I hope there are no conflicting dates as there are a few of us state guys who want to do both next year.

Rob Curkpatrick is on holidays this month so we will announce the dates about October week 2 I suspect.

I do not want to make an announcement without the OK from the Shannons series management as if my selection is not approved then Torana racer will have his holiday schedule stuffed up and I could not live with that!!

I have a few other things to work through between now and then to make sure we have the best possible chance of good size grid numbers.

What I can confirm is the following are the CAMS Shannons National dates for 2010
6-7 March Wakefield Park
10-11 April Symmons Plains
1-2 May Phillip Island
29-30 May Mallala
26-27 June Winton
17-18 July Eastern Creek
14-15 August Morgan Park
11-12 September Eastern Creek
23-24 October Sandown

Should I run a book on who can guess what the final Sports Sedan round dates will be? Why not; put up your preferences lads.

Mate, I suspect we're not going back to QR. Crompo got in trouble for damaging QR's bumps with his Holinger's sump/drain plug. Plus most quick Sports Sedans don't have enough shock travel when they go there......

The circuit that we run CAMS events at in Queensland is Morgan Park at Warwick. It's a great facility, bunches up the racing, any profits made by the circuit go directly back into building new infrastructure for the circuit. New extension to bring the track to 3km in length should be finished at the end of this year.

29-30 May Mallala
14-15 August Morgan Park
11-12 September Eastern Creek
23-24 October Sandown

I might add my 2 cents worth, we need to keep our sponsors in mind, plus keep faith with Clem Smith at Mallala where there is prize money. I think the 5 round series will be March Wakefield, May Mallala, July Eastern Crk, August Morgan Pk, October SD. This would allow good geographical spread for Kerrick who are supporting the whole series, also spread the events out to allow for body repairs 'cause you guy's crash so much!!
