Porsche 935's in Australia

Curious about the Porsche 935's in Australia and their variants. We all know of course of the Alan Jones and Alan Browne 935's. Did these both end up with Rusty French eventually?
- Was John Pollards (John Shepard Built) 935 considered the real deal or a build up of his previous Porsche Sports Car?
- how does Perry Spirolidiz (spelling?) car fit into the equation. I thought this was one of the Rusty French cars that ended up back with him?
- Ian or Pete Geoghan raced a 935 or maybe a 934 variant in the late 70's here once or twice.
- Alan Jones also raced another version of a car in a one off meeting in the early 80's.
- Does Rusty still have 2 cars or just the one? I always thought only one of his cars was a genuine Kremer car and the other was a build up which indicates it may have been the Pollard car.

Very confusing just like the BMW's and the Monza's.....

This must be Perry's car for sale in 96 perhaps? Pollards I am sure was built by John Shepard.

Pollards again.

I think Rusty still has two cars, here is his website which is pretty awesome: www.935.com.au

from what I can tell the cars seem to run at historic meetings every now and then, some pics below I found from a Porsche day at Sandown about 5 years ago

Pollards 935 as far as I remember was built by Shepard, the car scored a small page 1 article
in Auto Action back in around 1992/93 when it was first revealed. I can remember watching it race at Indy on TV. The commentators were actually trying to talk to Pollard as he raced but he seemed a bit pre-occupied!! I suppose keeping a mega dollar high powered turbo Porsche off the concrete walls at Indy would take up a lot of concentration!!!!
That car is a real mystery, have never heard much about it after that race, surely someone in the Porsche circles must know what happened to it.

Here is a pic of the John Fitzpatrick car that raced briefly in 1983 by Alan Jones.

And another pic

Rustys cars always look sensational. I have a video of him racing one of them in 2008 at Laguna Seca in a Monterey IMSA historic meeting.

One of the most famous 935's of them all raced in Oz too. The Momo car of Gianpeiro Morretti at the AGP meeting.

Did they ship that car out to Australia for just one race?

They must have only shipped the momo car for a race or two. I was flicking through an old mag and saw that pic. Have no recolletion of the car ever being here. I think the John Fitzpatrick car was out here for a few more races. Perry's car was deifnitely an ex French car. He must have sold it back to him.

Great Rusty French 935 Wallpapers in high res here.
