New South Australia Race track!

I finally went and organised my license today! But while at the CAMS office I saw some phamplets...???
I had heard rumours but the phamplets showed it to be true, the South Australian Sporting car club has brought the old Mitsubishi Tailem Bend testing grounds!

According to what Ive heard its to be run as a non profit facility, and all monies raised are to be put back into improving it!

Initially it will be used as a Drag Strip as it is the easiest initial modification, but it is to be developed for circuit, rally and and a driver training facility...

You can get on google Earth and see the basic track...
It wont happen over night, but its something!

Anyway, next weekend will be my first event, and hopefully encourage some more locals to do the same!

Good luck for the weekend TopGear. Glad to hear you finally got your way around the CAMS website and got your license sorted out. Good news about the track also. Pitty there weren't more tracks being made rather than torn up....!!
