25 cars in qualifying, 23 in Race 1 all on the new circuit. Also noticed a much anticpated Soarer running for the first time??.

Very interested to hear thoughts on the layout be it from a Driver / Spectator and on the Soarer please Toymax.

spectator - its useless, cant see a thing unless ur sitting over there. Drivers had mixed opinion's. some think its slow and processional others like that theres more track to drive on in a different fashion. soarer finished all races well done toymax!

I was hoping it was not going to be processional but apparently that was the common theme out there. I miss Amaroo and Oran Park...

Good to see the continued healthy grids in NSW.

Yes jd the Soarer finally made it on track. Got sick of looking at it in the garage so just had to give it a run even though it is not completed yet. I have successfully built the slowest Sports Sedan in the country (having a standard road engine lacking in any horsepower helps there), but we finished every race and had a great weekend. Thanks to all the fast guys for their patience ;)

As for the new section of track, I heard lots of Sports Sedan people having a whine about it, but I reckon it is fantastic. Some of the best fun (and the biggest tank slapper) I had all weekend was through the new bit. Obviously it suits my car better because all the grunt of the big cars doesn't matter through that section, but in addition it is challenging for a driver, it is unique to any circuit the way it is laid out and it means that we can have 3 rounds at Eastern Creek, all on different circuits. So bring it on I say.

What were they thinking bypassing one of the best corners in Australian Motorsport?

This reminds me of the ill-fated Sandown extension.

At least the drifting guys will love it?

Yep no probs , just broke a bottom rod end when i hit Billy & needs some fiberglass repairs so nothing major.
More damaged pride than anything , just really pissed off with myself because i wrecked Billys race when i spun him & i usually try & avoid dumb s*** like that .
Anyway cant wait for the national round . Bring it on !! will be great to see a huge field of good cars .
Huge congrats to Scott Reed as well , first Race win & well deserved . Great to see a new guy, straight up to speed in a front running car . WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
